Will India ban Chinese phones ?

China's smartphone account for 81% of Indian smartphone market at the end of March end 2020.

The cheap price of smartphones and other gadgets is due to Chinese invasion into electronics market, so if its banned then there might be a surge in the price of electronics. 

Last year in the 4th quarter 46.6 Million smartphone units were shipped. So you can see the impact of banning chinese smartphone would be massive.

But, certainly there will be downside on the sales of chinese phones in the coming times due to Indo-China border issue and there might be seen traction in demand of non-chinese smartphones (Apple, Samsung etc).

Till now no action has been taken by government on banning of sale of chinese phones.

#My opinion

I dont think it will happen now or even in future untill and unless there is some solid evidence against them regarding data theft, privacy or security concerns are there, because banning for no reason will lead to violation of WTO agreement of which both India and China are members.
